The share of Kuzbass in coal mining in Russia by 2050 will decrease to 35%

The main Russian coal mining region, the Kemerovo Region, will reduce its share in coal production in Russia by 2050 to 35% from 45% in 2024. This follows from the program for the development of the coal industry of Russia for the period up to 2050, which Vedomosti got acquainted with. The share of the regions of Eastern Siberia and the Far East will grow from 48 to 55%.
