Minek responded to criticism of the bill on the return of purchases on the Internet
Comments of public consumer organizations that opposed the tightening of rules for the return of purchased online goods will be considered.

Comments of public consumer organizations that opposed the tightening of rules for the return of purchased online goods will be considered. This was stated by the TV channel RBC Deputy Director of the Department of digital development and data economy of the Ministry of economic development Alexander Yaltsev.
“Marketplaces are informational and product intermediaries, therefore, their arbitrary restriction of the rights and legitimate interests of consumers cannot be supported by us. Here, of course, it is necessary to develop the necessary norms on the basis of ensuring a balance of private and public interests, he said.
Yaltsev said that now there are public discussions and Minek received comments from consumer associations. “They will be carefully considered in the further development of the bill,” he assured.
The representative of the department also noted that the proposal to establish lists of goods that cannot be abandoned is, of course, one of the elements of alignment between offline and online trading. Minek continues to work on the mechanism of return of goods, added Yaltsev.
Several public consumer organizations (the Public Consumer Initiative, the Moscow Society for Consumer Protection and the Tatarstan Consumer Union) opposed a bill developed in the Ministry of Economic Development that tightens the rules for returning goods purchased online. In their opinion, the proposed amendments will narrow the rights of buyers. According to the publication, sellers and marketplaces insist that entrepreneurs suffer from abuse of returns.
