The harvest of grapes in 2026 in the leading Russian wine regions may be one of the best in a decade, said Roskoshestvo. According to him, the highest increase in yield is possible in Sevastopol, the largest harvest is in the Krasnodar Territory.

Experts called the key feature of this year the high availability of vineyards of the Krasnodar Territory and the Crimea with moisture, mainly due to the snowy winter. The year itself in the Kuban and Crimea was cooler than previous years. Harvesting began on average three to four weeks later than in 2025. This is very important for high-quality and uniform ripening of grapes for white and sparkling wines, said Olesya Latysheva, head of the department for research and promotion of domestic wine products of Roskoshestvo.

According to the forecast of Roskoshestvo, the largest harvest of technical (wine) grape varieties will be collected in the Krasnodar Territory. The initial forecast for the region was at the level of 250 thousand tons, but successfully passed the flowering season and good moisture supply allowed to form a harvest close to last year's record - 317 thousand tons. The largest grape harvest in the region is the Taman Peninsula. It accounts for up to 200 thousand tons of collection, of which more than half will be processed by Kuban Wine and Phanagoria. Significant volumes of grape processing are also expected at vineyards in Anapa and Novorossiysk, where the largest vineyards belong to the Abrau-Durso group.

In Sevastopol in 2025, 20.9 thousand tons of grapes were harvested, the forecast for 2026 is up to 27.6 thousand tons. In Crimea, as expected, this year can collect more than 120 thousand tons of grapes. The largest processors in the Crimea and Sevastopol called wineries “Massandra”, “Inkerman” and “Golden beam”.

In Dagestan, they plan to repeat the record harvest of 2025 - at the level of 226.5 thousand tons of technical varieties. Leaders in grape processing should be "Alvisa", "Derbent wine", "Derbent Cognac Combine" and "Derbent sparkling wine factory". The final harvest results will be available in November. The weather is changeable, but the basis for a great year and high quality wines by nature and the work of wine growers this year is very good, said Ms. Latysheva.
