The first Russian vaccine against HPV “Tsegardex” entered the market
Russian medical institutions in September will receive the first batch of vaccine against human papilloma virus “Tsegardex” in 30 thousand doses. By the end of the year, Nanolek plans to produce 600,000 doses. “The start of deliveries of the first domestic HPV vaccine produced on a full cycle opens a new stage in ensuring drug safety and expanding the availability of vaccination in the country,” said Nanolek CEO Yevgeny Barinov. Before that, the Russian market was completely dependent on foreign supplies.

Tsegardex is the first Russian quadrivalent vaccine for the prevention of HPV. It protects against virus types 6, 11, 16 and 18. The drug can be used for children and adults aged 9 to 45 years. In 2027, the company will launch the second production site of the HPV vaccine at the biomedical complex.
