The authorities of the Trans-Baikal Territory imposed restrictions on the sale of no more than 15 liters of gasoline in one tank. The measure will affect 143 petrol stations out of 249.
Restrictions are imposed only on the sale of gasoline AI-92 and AI-95. Diesel fuel will be sold without restrictions.
First Deputy Chairman of the government of Transbaikalia Buyanto Batomunkuev indicated that the restrictions will allow to save the remaining fuel at the gas station until the arrival of new batches of gasoline in the region. According to him, only about 17 thousand tons of fuel remained at the filling stations and oil depots of the Trans-Baikal Territory. At current consumption, this will last for 20 days.
Batomunkuyev added that 11.1 thousand tons of fuel are on the way. He also noted that “extra volumes have already been sent to the region.”.
Restrictions on fuel sales in the Trans-Baikal Territory were already in effect from the end of June to the end of July.
