Funds will have access to a wider range of instruments that are not traded on the exchange. The portfolio will include any shares and bonds of Russian issuers and investment units not intended for qualified investors.
The Central Bank also allowed to invest funds of qualified investors in settlement instruments, the cost of which is tied to cryptocurrency quotes. In addition, the regulator revised the calculation of concentration limits in retail mutual funds: the 10% norm now applies to the entire group of related companies. This rule will come into force in a year.
