Belarus expects to increase the supply of fruits and vegetables to St. Petersburg

Deliveries of Belarusian food to St. Petersburg are increasing every year. This was reported to journalists by the Consul General of the Republic of Belarus in St. Petersburg Nikolai Rogozhnik, sb.by correspondent reports.

Nikolai Rogozhnik said that recently opened the fifth flagship store "Belarusian Village" in the center of St. Petersburg, which includes Belarusian delicacies, novelties, Neman glass, light industry goods.

- On average, we grow in food items about 10-12 percent annually, said Nikolai Rogozhnik. — With the Ministry of Agriculture, St. Petersburg annually signs supply plans. They stand up, colleagues do not fail. Recently, we considered the issue of increasing the volume of fruit and vegetable products together with the Brest Regional Executive Committee, concluding long-term contracts, so that our partners could take potatoes, carrots and other crops that we grow for sale in the network for long-term supplies.

Cooperation is also developing in other areas. Deliveries of passenger, fire and other equipment, which St. Petersburg is actively acquiring, are being worked out.

- By order of the city produced a staircase of 52 meters - the highest, which is currently used in the region. In addition, the city ordered from AMKODOR, taking into account the specifics of narrow streets and courtyards, a new type of forklift - small; on Friday, October 23, the first samples were handed over at the international forum-exhibition "Russian Industrialist" in St. Petersburg.
