The business mission from Uzbekistan brought together representatives of more than 50 enterprises. From the Belarusian side, the flagships of Bellegprom took part in the negotiations. “Today's event is the key to future success. I am convinced that you will find new partners or customers, because our current opportunities are a direct path to international markets, said Ambassador of Uzbekistan to Belarus Nuriddin Mamajonov.

A landmark event was the solemn signing of a tripartite memorandum of cooperation between Bellegprom Concern, Uztekstilprom Association and EXPOGATE LLC (Uzbekistan). The document is aimed at developing trade and economic cooperation, stimulating industrial cooperation, mutual promotion of products and organizing regular business B2B missions.

Natalia Gundar, Head of the Department of Foreign Economic Relations of Bellegprom, noted that Belarus and Uzbekistan have long been linked by warm, friendly and trusting relations. “Light industry is one of the most powerful and promising areas of our joint work,” she added.

Deputy Chairman of Uztekstilprom Association Donier Khabibullayev stressed the enormous export potential of Uzbek textiles (exports of about $ 3 billion to more than 80 countries) and readiness to provide Belarusian partners with a wide range of yarn, fabrics and finished knitwear.

More than 50 Uzbek factories also presented their expositions at the event. As noted in the concern, it became an opportunity for Belarusian enterprises to assess the tactile properties and quality of yarn, harsh and ready-made canvases, knitwear, terry products and accessories, discuss price formulas, logistics chains and conditions for direct supplies of raw materials, as well as outline joint cooperation projects for the production of ready-made clothing under Belarusian brands.
