Belarusian farmers threshed more than 10.6 million tons of grain, including rapeseed and corn

According to operational data on the morning of October 28, 10 million 660 thousand tons of grain were threshed in agricultural organizations and peasant farms, taking into account rapeseed and corn. This was reported by sb.by in the press service of the Ministry of Agriculture and Food.

It is noted that in the Minsk region harvested 2 million 877 thousand tons, Grodno — 2 million 110 thousand tons, Brest — 1 million 972 thousand tons, Mogilev — 1 million 335 thousand tons, Gomel — 1 million 261 thousand tons, Vitebsk — 1 million 105 thousand tons.

Hay harvested 632,000 tons (88 percent of the plan), hay — 13 million 23 thousand tons (91 percent of the plan), silage — 18 million 603 thousand tons (91 percent of the plan). The total volume of harvested herbal feed in terms of feed units reached 9 million 49 thousand tons - 89 percent of the annual plan of 10 million 131 thousand tons. Corn on the silo removed from 94 percent of the area is 930 thousand hectares.

Sugar beets were removed from the area of 84 thousand hectares - 78 percent of the plan of 109 thousand hectares. 4 million 155 thousand tons of root crops were dug up with an average yield of 494 centners per hectare. Minsk region has dug up 1 million 536 thousand tons of beet, Grodno — 1 million 395 thousand tons, Brest — 745 thousand tons, Mogilev — 417 thousand tons, Gomel — 37 thousand tons, Vitebsk — 25 thousand tons.

Potatoes were dug up 722 thousand tons with an average yield of 334 centners per hectare, which is 23 centners higher than last year. Minsk region has dug up 208 thousand tons of second bread, Mogilev — 162 thousand tons, Brest — 138 thousand tons, Grodno — 83 thousand tons, Gomel — 77 thousand tons, Vitebsk — 54 thousand tons.

In total, 143 thousand tons of vegetables grown in open ground were harvested in the country with a yield of 323 centners per hectare, which is 16 centners higher than last year. 80 percent of the area has been cleared.

Raised chicks on the area of 475 thousand hectares, which is 33 percent of the plan of 1 million 436 thousand hectares. Accumulated mineral fertilizers (nitrogen, phosphorus, potash) for finning and spring sowing 154 thousand tons of active substance, which is 72 percent of the plan.
