A delegation of official and business circles of the Brest region will visit Brazil in late September - early October. This was reported in the press service of the Brest Regional Executive Committee, BelTA writes.

Earlier, the parties held talks with one of the Brazilian companies on the implementation of a joint project to localize the production of agricultural machinery. In particular, Brest specialists will visit the enterprise, get acquainted with its production capacities and assortment list of products.

Negotiations will be held with the company’s management to implement a joint project to localize the production of agricultural machinery in the Brest region. The delegation also plans to visit agricultural organizations in Brazil, study the methods of agricultural work on growing grain crops, exchange experience and technologies of agriculture, the press service said.

The Committee on Agriculture and Food of the Brest Regional Executive Committee explained that the Brazilian company produces a unit for making dusty fertilizers for limestone soil. This approach increases the efficiency of mineral fertilizers by about 20%, thereby increasing crop yields. “We have acidic soils of about 40 per cent. Every year we increase the volume of limestone. The machines we have allow us to do this in a continuous way. The unit of the Brazilian company practically does not depend on wind speed, differentiatedly makes lime materials on acidity maps and elementary areas. Productivity is greater and higher accuracy, – emphasized in the regional agricultural production.

This unit is used in the "Velikoselsky Agro" of the Pruzhan district. Savushkin Product acquired it for three of its enterprises - Savushkino, Savushkina Pushcha, Savushkin Luch in Maloritsky, Kamenetsky and Berezovsky districts. A further planned step of the Brest region is the localization of production. For this purpose, the Zhabinkovskaya agricultural machinery site is considered.

Specialists of the Brest region during their visit to Brazil will study the experience of cultivating more drought-resistant varieties and hybrids of corn and wheat. In the field of interests and technology, know-til is zero or zero tillage. “Let us learn from countries with hot climates. In recent years, we also have hot weather conditions. We will study how they work with this in Brazil, the Committee on Agriculture and Food of the Brest Regional Executive Committee concluded.
