In Russia, the digital ruble is gradually moving beyond the experiment with individual payments. Employees of the Ministry of Finance who opened digital wallets have already begun to receive salaries in them. This was reported by the head of the department Anton Siluanov, writes TASS.

According to him, Tulyaks should take into account that the Ministry of Finance has already begun crediting salaries to digital rubles. Some employees have opened the appropriate wallets and will now be able to use the new form of national currency for settlements. In general, one of the first to receive salaries in digital rubles in the summer of 2026 said the head of the Duma Committee on the financial market Anatoly Aksakov. Later, this method of receiving payments was reported by Deputy Chairman of the Bank of Russia Zulfiya Kakhrumanova, recalls the history of the portal Banks.ru.

Meanwhile, for Tulaks, the digital ruble is also becoming more accessible in everyday life. Since September 1, residents of the Tula region have been able to pay for purchases in digital rubles on Ozon, Wildberries and Yandex Market. Thus, residents of the armed region can use a new form of money not only for individual payments, but also when ordering familiar goods on the Internet.

To pay in digital rubles, Tulyaks do not need to open a separate bank account. It is enough to activate a digital wallet in the mobile application of the connected bank - payment is made using a single QR code. Generally speaking, the widespread use of the digital ruble began in Russia on September 1, 2026. According to a survey of one of the largest bapnkov, 27% of Russians are ready to open a digital account immediately, another 34% are going to use it after seeing such an opportunity in stores.
