The contract for the supply of modern Minsk 2024 metro cars was signed in February 2026 between the Minsk Metro and Metrovagonmash JSC (Russia), which is part of Transmashholding (TMH).

Transmashholding took part in the International Industrial Exhibition INNOPROM. Belarus, which was held from September 30 to October 2 at the Minsk International Exhibition Center BELEXPO.

TMH is a partner of the Minsk Metro, which supplies the Belarusian subway with subway cars, the press service of Minsk Metro told. — The TMH stand was visited by a delegation of the Minsk Metro headed by the director of the enterprise Alexander Kuznetsov. A working meeting was held with the general director of the Mytishchinsk plant of JSC “Metrovagonmash” Andrei Stepnov and his colleagues. The parties discussed the current stages of cooperation and prospects for further cooperation. In particular, it was noted that the contract signed in 2026 for the supply of 15 Minsk 2024 metro cars for the Belarusian subway will be executed before the end of this year.

The press service also reported that the history of cooperation between Metrovagonmash and the Minsk Metro has more than 40 years - since the opening of the subway in 1984. After a long break, the company resumed deliveries: 48 Minsk 2024 cars, created on the basis of the 81-765/766 series, have already been sent to the Belarusian capital. The cars meet all modern requirements of comfort and safety.

In the design of Minsk 2024 cars, components of Belarusian enterprises are partially used: on-board traffic safety system, oscillation suppressors, cabin lighting elements and driver's cabin, some others. These components are used not only in the production of cars for the Belarusian subway, but also in the assembly of rolling stock for other subways.
