The work of the Belarusian NPP allowed to replace more than 18 billion cubic meters of natural gas, reduce dependence on imported energy resources and strengthen the country's energy security.
“Today, the station provides about 40 percent of Belarus’ electricity needs, creating additional opportunities for the development of industry, electric transport and the use of electricity for heating and hot water supply,” the ministry said.
