To increase localization and reduce cost: Mogilev enterprise Olsa has implemented a large investment project

Mogilev enterprise "Olsa" has implemented a major investment project to create a modern high-tech production of import-substituting products with the introduction of automated technology for the manufacture of electric welded pipes and metalworking. This was reported to journalists by the director of the enterprise Ekaterina Bogdanovich in the framework of the press tour “Movement for improving the quality of Belarusian goods on the example of enterprises of the Mogilev region, whose products were awarded the State Quality Mark”, writes sb.by.

She noted:

A new workshop with an area of 4.5 thousand square meters and an annual production capacity of more than 7 thousand tons of steel electric welded pipes was built. In addition to the fact that for us it is a new product that can be sold as part of import substitution in Belarus, it is also the main material in the production of furniture on a metal frame.

The project was implemented in several stages, and the new workshop was the final stage. Innovative production will significantly reduce the country's dependence on imports of metal products.

- We will get a significant economic effect, the head of the enterprise noted. The level of localization of our final product will increase and its competitiveness will increase by reducing the cost of production. Since we export more than 80 percent of our products, this will allow us to maintain our leading position in garden furniture in the CIS.

Now the company has organized a full technological cycle - from the supply of steel tape to the production of stylish garden furniture. Previously, thin-walled pipes were purchased abroad. Own line gives the enterprise complete technological and raw material independence. Bobruiskagromash in 2027 plans to release the first batch of combined press pickers sichevich@sb.by
