In the Brest region for 10 months, all areas added to milk production

Over the past period of 2026, all districts of the Brest region added milk production. In each of them, both the productivity of the dairy herd and the volume of product sales for processing have increased. It's from sb.by.

According to the results of 10 months, gross milk production in agricultural organizations of Brest region exceeded 2 million 177 thousand tons and increased by almost 5 percent compared to the same period last year. The operational data was shared by the Chairman of the Committee on Agriculture and Food of the Brest Regional Executive Committee Anatoly Shchuplenkov.

He noted:

- The average yield from a cow in the region in January-October was 7173 kilograms. This is 297 kilograms more than in the same period of 2025. The highest productivity of the dairy herd in the Ivanovo district is 8991 kilograms. To the level of last year, 329 kilograms were added there. In Brest district, an average of 8,339 kilograms of milk were fed from a cow, plus 311 kilograms. Kamenetsky district closed the top three with a result of 7726 kilograms (plus 423 kilograms).

Only in October, milk production in the Brest region increased by about 215 thousand tons, at a consistently high level, the marketability of the product - 92.7 percent. Anatoly Shchuplenkov added that the dynamics of the industry is largely determined by its large-scale modernization. This year, modern dairy complexes have come into operation in the southwestern region. In the near future, the opening of such facilities is planned in Kamenetsky and Luninetsky districts.
