In Buryatia, patents for foreign workers may rise

The Ministry of Economy of Buryatia proposes to increase the cost of a patent for foreign workers from 2027. The regional coefficient, on which the price of the document depends, is planned to be raised from 3.682 to 3.717. This is done so that employers hire local residents more often, and the budget receives more income.

The cost of a patent in the republic is already growing: in 2025 it amounted to 8,872 rubles, and in 2026 it rose to 12,558 rubles. At the same time, the number of patents issued falls - for seven months of 2026, 4076 were issued against 4,746 for the same period a year earlier. The patent revenue plan is only half-full.
