In the Kirov region changed the rules of work and rest of drivers
From September 1, 2026, the order of the Ministry of Transport of Russia of 14 came into force throughout the country

The regulatory act regulates the specifics of working hours and rest periods for drivers.
The document has the status of mandatory for all employers of the region using hired labor of drivers, and will be valid until September 1, 2032.
Innovations in detail adjust the permissible time behind the wheel.
The standard daily limit for driving a vehicle is set at 9 hours. It is allowed to extend this time to 10 hours daily if the shift is divided into parts, or not more than twice during the week without such division.
At the same time, the general limits are preserved: the driver is prohibited from driving for more than 56 hours per calendar week and more than 90 hours for two weeks in a row.
Special attention is paid to the duration of rest and breaks.
Daily uninterrupted rest should be at least 11 hours and must be completed within 24 hours of the start of the shift. As an exception, it is allowed to reduce it to 9 hours, but not more than three times between periods of weekly rest.
It is also possible to divide the daily rest into parts, where the first should last at least 3 hours, and the final - at least 9 hours.
Weekly rest is defined in the amount of 45 hours with the possibility of a one-time reduction to 24 hours every two weeks, subject to subsequent compensation within three weeks.
With a working shift of more than 4 hours, a break for lunch from 30 minutes to 2 hours is mandatory, and when changing over 8 hours, two such breaks are allowed.
Significant changes have affected the procedure for medical examinations.
Now, the time spent on pre-trip, current and post-trip surveys, including the period of travel to the place of their conduct, is officially attributed to working time and is subject to mandatory payment by the employer.
The basic accounting period of working time is 1 month, but in agreement with the trade union it can be extended to 3 months.
The standard duration of the working shift is limited to 10 hours, and for taxi drivers, ambulances, emergency services, collection and employees on the watch the limit can reach 12 hours.
In connection with the entry into force of new regulations, the regional State Labor Inspectorate called on heads of enterprises and organizations to promptly update the Rules of Internal Labor Procedure.
Specialists of the supervisory authority recommend that employers of the Kirov region adjust shift schedules, fix the conditions for separating shifts in local acts, ensure strict compliance with established limits and monitor the correct introduction of the time of medical examinations in the sheets for subsequent payment.
