In Severodvinsk continues technical re-equipment of CHPP-1

Modernization is necessary for a number of reasons: operating equipment is severely worn out, coal production is economically inefficient, and the ash dump capacity is projected to be fully filled in the next two years.
TGC-2 divided the project into two stages. The first — the purchase of basic equipment (turbines and boilers) with a total cost of about 2.5 billion rubles — has already been completed.
The second stage involves the construction of a hot water boiler house. Work at the facility is already underway: the first of the four planned hot water boilers was purchased, supports for technological overpasses were mounted, the foundation of the main building with access to equipment was filled.
As part of the investment program for 2027, the company plans to allocate 1.1 billion rubles to the project. These funds will be used for the purchase of a gas distribution point, the completion of the construction of the main building of the hot water boiler house, the installation of the boiler and the continuation of the construction of the overpass of technological pipelines.
To get an economic effect faster, TGC-2 is considering the possibility of a phased start of the boiler house – first on one boiler with the gradual introduction of the rest of the equipment. In addition, it is planned to conclude a new contract with Gazprom Gas Distribution Arkhangelsk for connection to the network with the required volume of gas.
