In the Yaroslavl region, the Prosecutor’s office contributed to the repair of the road

After the intervention of the prosecutor's office of the Nekouz district, a local road was repaired. This is reported by the press service of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Yaroslavl region.

About problems with the state of the road in the rural settlement, the prosecutor's office was notified by residents of the village of Novye Nekouz. The street in the village became impassable. Residents reported the problem at a personal reception with the Deputy Prosecutor of the Yaroslavl region Svetlana Kozlova

The inspection conducted on the appeal established that the highway is a local road, the administration of the Nekouz municipal district is responsible for its maintenance.

But the maintenance of the road did not meet the standards. On the road revealed numerous holes, cracks and irregularities, the size of which exceeded the norm. Walking and driving on such pavement was dangerous for cars and people. Humps and pits could cause accidents and injuries.

According to the results of the inspection, the prosecutor's office of the Nekouz district submitted to the head of the local government a proposal to eliminate violations of the legislation on road safety. As part of its consideration by the local government body, a contract was concluded on the basis of which the contractor repaired the road.
