Pneumonia and blood clots in the heart: the consequences of a viral infection transferred “on the feet” can be severe

If a person is sick, the body needs a pause. Rest and proper drinking regime (warm and abundant drinking) help to quickly get out of the infectious process. This was during the briefing “Health of the nation: prevention of ARI – from recommendations to habit”, said associate professor of the Department of General medical practice with a course of geriatrics and palliative medicine BSMU, candidate of medical sciences Natalia Klimovich, writes sb.by.

She emphasized:
- Contact with the virus has already occurred, but the duration of the disease can be affected: with sufficient recovery, the body copes faster. If you continue to work, a person becomes a source of infection for the team and at the same time delays his own recovery. Medical practice shows that the consequences of the transferred “on the feet” infection can be severe. In young patients, blood clots in the heart and severe forms of pneumonia were recorded, which developed precisely because of the lack of proper treatment and rest. In the early stages, complications may not be noticeable, but the delayed effects are significant.
