Constant urge to the toilet can be both a natural reaction of the body to external factors, and a symptom of a serious disorder. More about this told the Russian urologist, urogynecologist Daria Meshkova, writes sb.by.

With standard fluid intake (about 30 ml per 1 kg of body weight) and moderate physical activity, 6-8 urinations per day are considered normal frequency, the doctor noted.
- This indicator is influenced by physique, medication and lifestyle, said Daria Meshkova. At the same time, in the autumn, the urge may increase due to cold: low temperatures cause a stress response of the body and activate certain hormones.
She also explained that the bladder is a muscle organ that lends itself to a kind of “training”. If a person gets used to going to the toilet with minimal filling of the bladder, its functional volume gradually decreases. Muscles get used to react to small portions of fluid, and over time the body will begin to “drive” to the toilet even with a slight accumulation of urine.
If the urge became sudden and sharp - this may be a sign of an overactive bladder, the specialist added. In this case, it is necessary to consult a doctor for an accurate diagnosis and treatment.
