The number of Russian teenagers involved in droppership has increased 48 times since the beginning of the year compared to last year. A total of 720 children are involved in illegal financial schemes. Such data was given by the first deputy head of the UBC of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia Sergey Kalinin at the forum “Dialogue about fakes 4.0”.
“Often, criminals themselves enter into proactive communication through social networks, messengers, recruit our underage citizens to commit crimes. Sometimes, in search of work, easy earnings, children allow themselves to be drawn into illegal activities. One way or another, this barrier is reduced, said Sergey Kalinin (quoted by RBC).
The growth of statistics is associated with the emergence of new compositions in the Criminal Code, where the subjects of crime are minors, and a decrease in the age threshold for involvement in illegal activities. Mr. Kalinin also pointed to the low level of knowledge of adolescents about their rights and obligations, as well as the lack of legal education by adults and in schools.
