In the Krasnoyarsk region opened a case of negligence after the attack of bears on people

In the Krasnoyarsk Territory opened a criminal case of negligence against employees of the Ministry of Natural Resources and Forestry, the press service of the Investigative Committee for the region reported. According to the investigation, they did not take the necessary measures to regulate the number of bears, which has killed six people in the region since the beginning of September.

According to the regional prosecutor’s office, at least 123 reports of bears appearing in and near settlements have been registered since the beginning of September. Their number in the Krasnoyarsk Territory is about 26.6 thousand individuals, in some territories of the region it has grown 2.5 times in recent years.
