The defendants are men aged between 22 and 36. The court sentenced them to 5.5 to 6.5 years in a high-security colony.
The investigation established that on the evening of August 13, 2025 in Petropavlovsk-Kamchatsky, the defendants had a conflict with the taxi driver due to the cancellation of the order and insulting the mother of one of them. Later, foreigners found the taxi driver’s car, forcibly pulled him out of the cabin and took him to the garage where the service station was located. The victim's car was also driven away.
In the garage, the men beat the taxi driver with a wrench and a baseball bat, and then locked in the basement. The next day he was moved to the apartment of one of the defendants, from where the victim was able to escape through the window.
