Deportation without the right to “redeem”: Pskovites reminded about the tough amendments for foreigners
Since November 3, 2026, the life of foreign citizens in Russia has become noticeably stricter

Since November 3, 2026, the life of foreign citizens in Russia has become noticeably stricter. The federal law introduced large-scale changes to the Code of Administrative Offences, doubling the list of offenses for which expulsion from the country is threatened.
Now not only purely migration violations, but also threats to public order are under attack, representatives of the Ministry of Internal Affairs told MK in Pskov. Petty hooliganism, disobedience to the lawful demands of the police or Regardie, participation in illegal rallies and even shooting in populated areas can now become a direct route to deportation.
The fines went up. Violation of the rules of stay or entry regime will now cost 4-7 thousand rubles (up to 9 thousand in case of relapse). Employers-individuals who hire illegal immigrants will also be fined from 4 to 7 thousand rubles.
The main innovation: for a number of articles, expulsion has become uncontested. For drug trafficking, disobedience to the security forces or discrediting the army, it is no longer possible to replace deportation with a fine. Having a Russian family, housing or a long stay in the country will no longer serve as mitigating circumstances.
