Dropper from Chuvashia will return to the pensioner from the Volgograd region 411 thousand rubles
In the Kletsky district of the Volgograd region, the supervisory authority helped a 62-year-old local resident return stolen savings

As reported in the Prosecutor’s office of the Volgograd region, in August 2024, the woman called unknown under the guise of a bank employee. Believing the deception, the pensioner transferred more than 300 thousand rubles to the “safe” account specified by the attacker. A criminal case was initiated under part 3 of Article 159 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation “Fraud”. During the investigation, it turned out that the stolen savings actually entered the card of a 25-year-old resident of the Chuvash Republic.
Since by law a citizen is obliged to return property received without legal grounds, the district prosecutor filed a civil lawsuit to recover unjust enrichment and interest for the use of other people's money. The judge fully supported the position of the supervisory authority and ordered the account owner to pay the elderly woman 411 thousand rubles.
Execution of the judgment is strictly controlled by prosecutors. The prosecutor’s office of the Volgograd region once again reminds that any requests to transfer money to a “safe” account or name codes from SMS are signs of fraud. It is better to interrupt the conversation and independently contact the bank at the official number.
