"College" deceived a resident of Tver

A resident of Tver became a victim of fraudsters, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of the Russian Federation in the Tver region reported.

The Ministry said that a 36-year-old woman in one of the messengers received a message allegedly from a colleague with a request to borrow 26,000 rubles. The victim transferred the specified amount to the number, then called a colleague and found out that she did not send such messages - her account was hacked.

Realizing that the transferred money was received by the attackers, the woman went to the police. On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was opened under the article “Fraud”. Law enforcement agencies conduct operational-search measures to establish all the circumstances of the offense.
