The Arbitration Court of the Lipetsk region put an end to the dispute with Chernozemye LLC, which is part of the Exoil group: the enterprise from the village of Terbuny will pay 1.8 million rubles for damage to the subsoil caused by groundwater extraction without a license.
The appeal upheld that decision. This was reported in the Central Black Earth Interregional Department of Rosprirodnadzor.
The scheme of the violator looked simple: from June to December 2021, the company pumped groundwater without permission. The damage to the subsoil specialists estimated at 2 million 927 thousand rubles. Rosprirodnadzor demanded to compensate the damage voluntarily, but the “Chernozem” preferred to ignore the appeal – then the department went to court.
During the proceedings, the company partially closed the debt, transferring 1 million 104 thousand rubles. The remaining 1 million 822 thousand 231 rubles were forcibly recovered by the court, and the appeal court agreed with this.
