Kuryan will pay for the treatment of the downed Muscovite in an accident

In the Kursk region, the Glushkovsky district court satisfied the claim of the Moscow City Fund for Compulsory Medical Insurance against a local resident. A man found guilty of an accident is obliged to compensate the state for the cost of medical care for the victim.

The press service of the judicial system of the Kursk region reported that the case occurred in Moscow on Abramtsevskaya Street. Driving a vacuum-cleaning machine of the municipal service, the man did not choose a safe speed and allowed a collision with a pedestrian.

As a result of the accident, the woman suffered serious injuries. The victim required emergency hospitalization and subsequent inpatient treatment, paid at the expense of the capital's MHI Fund.

Earlier, the Butyrsky district court of Moscow has already issued a guilty verdict against the driver, finding him guilty under Part 1 of Art. 264 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation (a traffic violation that caused serious harm to health by negligence).

During the civil proceedings, representatives of the medical foundation indicated that the defendant did not voluntarily reimburse the costs of treating the victim. Having studied the circumstances of the case, the court established a direct causal relationship between the actions of the chicken and the costs of the fund for the provision of medical care.

As a result, the court decided to recover from the guilty the full amount of damage - 176,203 rubles 79 kopecks. The decision entered into legal force, since the parties were not appealed, the OPSS of the Kursk region said.
