Bear ravaged chicken coop in Khakass village

The incident occurred in the Askiz district. The bear ravaged a chicken coop on the outskirts of the village of Ust-Khoiza.

On Monday, October 26, inspectors of the Ministry of Natural Resources of Khakassia together with experienced hunters tracked down and neutralized the wild beast. The place was reached on horseback and on ouazika. A quadcopter watched the bear from the sky.

Another bear was shot in the vicinity of Sayanogorsk. As of October 27, 241 individuals were neutralized for population control.

The Ministry of Natural Resources noted that there is a decrease in bear activity in the republic. But the situation continues to be under control.
