Minchanka gave the false fortune teller money and jewelry for “cleaning”

The false fortune teller convinced a resident of the Pervomaysky district of the capital that it was damaged, and under the pretext of its removal lured out valuables, the correspondent of the agency “Minsk-Novosti” with reference to the Telegram channel “Minsk Police”.

The detainee, who has repeatedly been tried for property crimes, was an employee of the Minsk organization. The defendant met the victim at the shopping center and got into her confidence. Having frightened the Minsk woman with stories about damage to her, she volunteered to help. As a result, the citizen gave the false fortune teller 900 BYN and jewelry for their “cleaning”, as well as a mobile phone and SIM card to be in touch with her “savior”.

Law enforcement officers urged citizens not to believe promises to remove damage, “clean up” things or predict fate for money – these are common tricks of fraudsters. If someone comes up with such proposals, you should stop the conversation and, if necessary, contact the police.
