Fraudsters for a week lured from Kaliningrad more than 19 million rubles

During the week, fraudsters deceived 11 residents of the Kaliningrad region. The total amount of losses exceeded 19.1 million rubles, the regional prosecutor’s office said.

The most lost Professor Kaliningrad University – nine million rubles. The scammers persuaded her to transfer the money to a so-called "safe account." According to the same scheme, a resident of Zelenogradsk was deceived: he lost 3.5 million rubles.

The pensioner from Pioneersky lost more than 1.6 million rubles, believing the promises of a large earnings on the stock exchange.

Another resident of Kaliningrad transferred 700 thousand rubles to scammers. He was promised to help create a good banking history for working abroad.

A student from Kaliningrad lost 199 thousand rubles when he agreed to make extra money by remotely checking the work of antiviruses.
