Man stabbed neighbor dead and returned to his apartment

In the Japanese city of Muroran, a man is suspected of killing a neighbor who was stabbed several times in the common corridor of an apartment building. The victim died from his injuries.

The suspect was detained, and on November 8, the case materials were handed over to the prosecutor's office. This is reported by the TV channel UHB.

The attack took place in the Takasagoto area. According to investigators, a man with a knife attacked a neighbor in the corridor of the second floor of an apartment building and caused him several injuries.

After the incident, the suspect, as established by the police, returned to his apartment. It turned out that the deceased lived directly above him.

Initially, the detainee was suspected of attempted murder. However, after the death of the victim, the qualification of the crime under investigation was changed to murder.

Earlier, UHB reported that the man admitted the fact of stabbing, but denied the intention to deprive a neighbor of life. Investigators will have to establish the circumstances of the conflict and find out what could have caused the attack.
