In Volgograd, a visitor to a popular pan-Asian restaurant in the city received a serious burn after a waiter dropped a kettle of boiling water on her feet. The incident occurred on November 4, when a woman and her husband came to the institution to celebrate their birthday.
According to the victim, the waiter accidentally knocked over a kettle of 0.5 liters with boiling water on her. The manager of the hall provided first aid, treating the legs with a burn remedy, but after a visit to the hospital, the restaurant did not contact the guest.
The Russian woman claims that the institution is trying to evade responsibility: she was offered to compensate for medical expenses in the amount of 761 rubles and provide a certificate for 3000 rubles, but was refused to provide records from CCTV cameras, citing an internal audit.
Because of the injury, the woman is unable to go to work and experiences severe pain when skin contact with water.
The restaurant itself provided its position. In an official comment, the institution expressed regret and clarified the circumstances: employees immediately provided first aid, offered to call an ambulance (from which the visitor refused) and escorted a couple to the car.
The restaurant alleges the administrator stayed in touch, offered to reimburse treatment costs, arrange dinner at the establishment's expense or delivery, and discussed other settlement options.
