The verdict of 22-year-old Ekaterina Kirilushkina, who on a jet ski crushed a man to death on a downboard on the Volga near Kazan, according to the Volga Transport Prosecutor’s Office.
The verdict was handed down in Zelenodolsk court. The defendant was found guilty of violating the rules of safety and operation of transport, which led to the death of a person.
The tragedy occurred on July 6, 2026 on the Volga, near the village of October. The girl ran over a sappboard on which there were three men. Two then went ashore, the third drowned. Kirilushkina had no management rights. The deceased is a musician of the State Orchestra of Tatarstan and a cover band BamBeat Viktor Sevostyanov.
The court appointed her a year of colony-settlement. The prosecutor’s claim for compensation of moral damage – 1.3 million rubles in favor of the child of the deceased was satisfied.
