Father from Simferopol district repaid 277 thousand rubles of alimony debt

A resident of the Simferopol district fully repaid the arrears of alimony for the maintenance of a minor son, after a criminal case was opened against him. This was reported in the press service of the GUFSSP of Russia for the Republic of Crimea and Sevastopol.

The man did not pay alimony even after the court decision, and the debt amounted to 277 thousand rubles. The bailiff-executor of the bailiffs’ department in the Simferopol district initiated enforcement proceedings, arrested the debtor’s bank accounts and temporarily limited his travel abroad. It didn't help.

Then the man was brought to administrative responsibility for non-payment of funds for the maintenance of children and assigned 20 hours of mandatory work, which he served. The debt remained. Then the interrogator opened a criminal case against him under Article 157 of the Criminal Code.

Having learned about this, the debtor came to the bailiffs’ office, where during a preventive conversation he was explained the consequences of further evasion of payment. Soon the debt was repaid in full, and the criminal case was discontinued.
