Australian police arrest four people after chasing allegedly stolen SUV in Sydney's west

Australian police have detained four people after chasing a allegedly stolen SUV in Sydney's west. In the car found a machete, two hammers, three bottles of bleach, balaclavas, gloves and four spare sets of clothing. Among the detainees was a teenager. This was reported by the New South Wales State Police on November 8.
The incident occurred on the evening of November 7 in the district of Hebersham. The attention of patrolmen attracted the Honda car with changed registration plates. Police stopped the SUV on Radburn Road, but the driver suddenly moved from the spot as staff approached the car.
According to police, the motorist ignored a repeated demand to stop. The start of the chase was soon stopped for safety reasons, but surveillance of the SUV continued.
The car stopped at Moorhead Road. All four people in the cabin ran out and tried to escape. The police examined the surrounding area and detained the fugitives.
The investigation revealed that Honda was allegedly kidnapped in June in the Jordan Springs area. The car, along with the discovered objects, was sent to forensics. Why the detainees transported bleach, masks and changeable clothes, law enforcement officers have not yet established.
The driver was charged with dangerous driving while trying to escape police, illegal use of someone else's car and registration plates. Passengers are charged with offences related to being in a car used without the permission of the owner. One of them was also accused of illegally possessing a knife in a public place.
All four were kept in custody until a court hearing scheduled for November 8.
