In Nizhny Lomov, residents complained about the pavement littered with trees

Weather sometimes makes its own adjustments in the usual life of people. Strong winds, downpours and other natural phenomena can leave behind fallen trees, damaged structures and other destruction. A person cannot influence this, it remains only to accept the consequences of the raging elements. However, it is quite another matter when these same consequences are not eliminated for months, creating inconvenience for local residents. This is the situation in Nizhny Lomov Penza region.

We are talking about a stretch of more than 500 meters on the street Vokzalnaya. According to a local resident in comments on the page of the Governor of the Penza region Oleg Melnichenko in the social network, last year the track was maintained in a suitable state for passage, but after the June hurricane it was no longer put in order.

The published photos show that the pavement is overgrown with grass and shrub, and the passage on one of the sites is blocked by fallen trees and branches. Because of this, pedestrians have to look for workarounds.

According to the author of the appeal, local residents, including schoolchildren, are forced to move along the side of the highway.

“The local authorities are saying that they should make an appointment with a question? Are there any normal officials in the area? the local asked.

The complaint was answered by representatives of the administration of the Nizhnelomov district. They thanked the author of the comment for the active civil position and said that the contractor should carry out work on cutting down trees on the sidewalk until November 27, 2026.

For additional explanations, residents were offered to contact the department of municipal economy at the address: Nizhny Lomov, 53 Moskovskaya Street. Working hours - from 8:30 to 17:30.

The fact that the administration has set specific dates for the work can already be considered a step towards solving the problem. However, the question remains: why was it necessary to wait almost until the end of November to clear the sidewalk from the effects of the June hurricane? After all, we are talking about pedestrian safety: all this time residents, including schoolchildren, are forced to use the side of the road instead of the pedestrian path.
