Attempt to buy a car through the messenger led to the loss of three million rubles
41-year-old resident of Cheboksar became a victim of fraud when buying a car through the messenger

41-year-old resident of Cheboksar became a victim of fraud when buying a car through the messenger. In September, the man found a group selling cars, where he was offered a “Ford Kuga” 2018 release for a million rubles.
The seller promised to deliver the car from Belarus in ten days and sent a copy of the contract of sale. Believing him, the buyer began to transfer money to the accounts of individuals as a prepayment and pledge.
In total, the man transferred to the unknown more than three million rubles. Even the warnings of bank employees about possible fraud did not stop him: the scammers instructed him in advance what to say to the bank employees.
Two months later, the group became unavailable, and the sellers stopped communicating. The man then went to the police.
