In the Kirsan district, a recidivist seized 1.3 kg of marijuana

As part of the operational-preventive operation “Mak-2026”, employees of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia “Kirsanovsky” revealed the fact of illegal possession of drugs on a large scale.

As reported in the Ministry, on October 27 in the village of Golynshchyna, Kirsanov district during operational-search activities, the staff of the drug control unit found at the place of residence of the 59-year-old man a substance identified as marijuana. The total weight of the seized was more than 1298 grams.

The police sent the substance for examination and documented the actions of the suspect. It was established that the man had previously been tried under Article 228 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation for possession of drugs. At present, further investigation is being conducted into the involvement of the attacker in similar acts.

A criminal case has been opened on the illegal acquisition, storage, transportation of narcotic drugs on a large scale. The maximum penalty that the guilty person faces is imprisonment for up to 10 years with a fine.
