Visitor to Washington Metropolitan Library stabbed in toilet

Acting chief of police of the American capital Jeffrey Carroll said that in one of the toilets of the library, located in the center of Washington, the body of the murdered man was found.

Addressing the press, Carroll said that the deceased received fatal stab wounds, and his body was found in the sanitary room of the library building.

According to the representative of law enforcement agencies, the remains were found in the middle of the day on Friday, but the identity of the deceased has not yet been established. Near the body, police found a kitchen knife. Currently, the investigating authorities are working to determine the motives of the crime and search for a possible suspect.

This library institution is located in the western part of the central district of Washington, next to a large university campus and only one and a half kilometers from the residence of the President of the United States.
