Bailiffs demanded almost a million rubles from the Ivolginsky Ripper

From life convicted serial killer Kegashbek Orunbayev, known as the Ivolginsky Ripper, bailiffs are trying to recover more than 961 thousand rubles. This is reported by RIA Novosti with reference to the materials of the Federal bailiff service.

Enforcement proceedings against the convict were instituted in December 2022 on the basis of a document issued by the Novoaltai City Court a month earlier. The amount of punishment for moral damage caused by the crime exceeds 892 thousand rubles. Another 69.4 thousand rubles is the performance fee.

In addition, Orunbayev had to reimburse the state procedural costs. However, the relevant enforcement proceedings were terminated due to the inability to establish the location of the debtor or his property. The amount of this debt is not specified in the materials.

Orunbayev has been serving a life sentence since 2013. He was found guilty of a series of brutal murders and rapes of at least eight women. Part of the crimes he committed in the Ivolginsky district of Buryatia, where his nickname came from.

At the end of October 2026 it became known about a new criminal case against the convict. The investigation links him to the murder and rape of a woman committed in 1997. The materials were sent to the court in Kansk, Krasnoyarsk Territory.

Currently, Orunbayev is being held in a special regime colony “Black Dolphin”, intended for convicts to life imprisonment.
