Missing young people found in a sunken car in the river

The bodies of three young people were found during search and rescue operations in the area of Novocheboksarsk, where the Lada-Niva SUV fell into the Civil River.

At the moment, the bodies of the three dead were recovered from the water, but work to recover the car and the rest of the victims continues. In the cabin of the car, according to preliminary information, there were 5 young people.

The chronology of events was restored by law enforcement agencies. The duty part of the Department of the Ministry of Internal Affairs of Russia in the city of Novocheboksarsk appealed to the relatives of the 22-year-old young man with a statement about his disappearance, the press service of the Ministry of Internal Affairs for the Chuvash Republic reports.

It turned out that the 22-year-old citizen, along with two friends and two girls, went to ride an SUV. As a result of the complex of operational measures, the police found traces of a vehicle near the Civil River in the industrial zone of the city.

Rescuers immediately arrived: the car was found in the river at a depth of 3-4 meters. To eliminate the consequences involved 16 specialists and 6 units of special equipment, search operations are conducted by divers of the search and rescue service. Currently, all the circumstances and causes of the incident are being clarified.
