Pskovites are waiting for auroras and magnetic shocks
The end of the week was stressful, not just because of the weather

The Solar Astronomy Laboratory of the IKI RAS reported on the registration on Earth of a magnetic storm of the highest category - G5+. This is the strongest level of geomagnetic disturbances, which can last from a few hours to a day.
For residents of Pskov and all of North-Western Russia, this event has a double effect. On the one hand, astronomy enthusiasts can try to capture the moment and see the faint flares of the aurora above the horizon. On the other hand, doctors sound the alarm: at the level of G5+, even healthy people can feel unwell, and those who suffer from cardiovascular diseases, the risk of exacerbations increases many times over.
It is recommended to postpone important matters, rest more and carefully monitor your condition.
