According to the agency, the motive for the crime was personal hostility associated with accusations of black magic.

According to Fontanka, the detainee explained his act by the fact that the neighbor allegedly caused damage to him. The man said that he was almost electrocuted, a cap flew from the pipe, the house almost burned down, and the brakes disappeared. He connected all these incidents with the actions of his neighbor and considered it necessary to take revenge by destroying his property.

On the fact of the incident, a criminal case was opened on the intentional destruction of someone else's property. The defendant may face a sentence of imprisonment for up to five years. The Petersburger admitted his guilt.
