Russian woman will be tried for the murder of a roommate with a roller

In the Amur region, a 41-year-old resident of the village of Far Eastern Romne district will appear before the court. She is accused of inflicting a fatal blow to a roommate with a wooden roller during a domestic quarrel, the investigative department of the IC of Russia in the Amur region reported.

According to the agency, the actions of the woman are qualified under Part 4 of Article 111 of the Criminal Code of the Russian Federation - intentional infliction of serious harm to health, resulting in the death of the victim through negligence.

The incident occurred in early June 2026. The couple was at home drinking alcohol. Between them there was a conflict: the man hit the woman, but the injuries were minor. After that, he calmed down and sat down in a chair on the veranda - at that time there was no threat to the life and health of the woman. Despite this, the defendant took a wooden roller and hit the man in the head. The victim tried to defend himself by covering his head with his hand. As a result, he suffered a closed brain injury and died a few hours later in his home.

The woman admitted guilt and expressed remorse. In respect of her, a preventive measure in the form of detention was chosen. The criminal case with the approved indictment was transferred to the court.
