SK will check the hospital where the patient died

The criminal case of the death of an elderly man after providing unqualified medical care in the Murmansk region is under special control of the Chairman of the Investigative Committee of Russia.

Alexander Bastrykin demanded from the acting head of the SU IC for the Murmansk region Fedor Blyudenov to submit a report on the investigative actions and established circumstances. The reason for this was the appeal of a resident of the region, received through the Information Center of the Department. This is reported by the press service of the RF IC.

The woman disagrees with how the cause of her 69-year-old father's death is determined. According to the applicant, in February of this year, the pensioner was taken to the Olenegorsk Central District Hospital due to deteriorating health. Despite the severity of the condition, the doctors chose the wrong tactics of treatment, and the next day the patient died.

The investigation of the criminal case is conducted in the investigative department of the Investigative Committee of Russia in the Murmansk region. The head of the department will have to report on the complex of investigative actions performed, taking into account the arguments voiced in the applicant’s appeal. The progress of the execution of the order was taken over by the central office of the Investigative Committee.
