U.S. strikes ship in Pacific Ocean, killing five
The U.S. military attacked a fast-moving ship in the Eastern Pacific Ocean, which, according to U.S. intelligence, was used to transport drugs

The U.S. military attacked a fast-moving ship in the eastern Pacific that U.S. intelligence said was being used to transport drugs. Five people were killed in the strike, the US Southern Command said.
In a statement, the command said the ship was following a route known as the direction of drug trafficking, and intelligence pointed to its involvement in drug trafficking. The dead American soldiers called “narcoterrorists”.
The U.S. government did not provide evidence that drugs were on board. On the published command in the social network X video shows how the ammunition hits a small ship.
Since September last year, the U.S. military has carried out 72 strikes on vessels believed to be carrying drugs in the Caribbean and eastern Pacific. A total of 218 people were reportedly killed as a result of these operations. The US side also did not provide evidence of the involvement of the victims in drug trafficking.
US President Donald Trump has previously said that Washington is in a state of “armed conflict” with Latin American drug cartels. He attributed the use of force to stopping drug shipments to the United States and preventing fatal overdoses.
