Missing woman's body found after admitting her alleged killer

In Japan are investigating the alleged murder of a woman whose body was found in the forest after the testimony of a detained man. The suspect told police that he killed her and hid the remains. He denied that he had previously held a woman in a car against her will. This is reported by the agency Kyodo.

According to investigators, on October 30, a Hiroshima resident was transporting a woman from Ishikawa Prefecture in a small car, allegedly depriving her of the opportunity to freely leave the car. The man was arrested on November 6. He claims that the passenger sat down with him voluntarily, and partially disputes the suspicions.

During the investigation, the detainee spoke about the alleged murder and the place where he hid the body. According to his testimony, on November 7, police organized a search in the wooded area of the city of Awara, located in neighboring Fukui Prefecture. They found human remains that are believed to belong to the missing person.

The woman's parents announced her disappearance on November 5 because they were unable to contact her daughter. It was previously established that she was in a relationship with the detainee.

Investigators appointed a forensic medical examination, which should establish the identity of the deceased and the exact cause of death.

On November 8, the police of Ishikawa Prefecture sent prosecutors materials on the case of illegal detention of a woman. At the same time, law enforcement officers are checking the circumstances of the alleged murder and concealment of the body.
