In Thai Pattaya, police detained two people in the case of the disappearance of expensive Patek Philippe watches from a tourist from China

In Thai Pattaya, police detained two people in the case of the disappearance of expensive Patek Philippe watches from a tourist from China. The man estimated the accessory decorated with diamonds at 4 million yuan (about 49 million rubles). For the return of the abducted, he paid 20 thousand baht (about 49 thousand rubles), but received only his passport. This was reported by the Daily News.
The watch and documents disappeared from his hotel room in Jomtien. The loss of property, according to the tourist, involved two people he knew, the real names of which he did not know.
After some time, a foreigner was contacted and offered to return things for money. The man agreed and handed over 20,000 baht in cash. Instead of the promised hours, he was given a passport.
After an unsuccessful attempt to return the property, the tourist contacted Pattaya police. Law enforcement officers began an investigation and identified the alleged participants of the crime.
Both suspects were arrested. They were charged with receiving stolen property. At the initial interrogation, the detainees denied involvement in the incident.
During the investigation, police found the missing watch and returned it to its rightful owner. According to the applicant, it is a silver model Patek Philippe PP5719G, decorated with diamonds.
